The in-game party chat is the best option at the moment I think, one of my friends recommended discord, but I was like I need in game audio 8 months ago.

I did play crossplay stuff like Fortnite or Dauntless with a PS4 guy, who doesn't even own an Xbox, that used the Xbox Mobile app in order to party chat with me on PC and my other friend on Xbox One. Yeah, your best option is probably to use a combination of regular in ear headphones for voice chat and over the ear headphones for game audio.

So I'm sort of addicted to playing Warzone with my old friends (which has been a wonderful way to reconnect, legit thanks Corona), but all of my friends are owners of Xboxes, so in order to voice chat we have to use the in-game party chat. PS4 or Xbox One, Either way, it's all good. it's not tho... at least not if you use PC or the Mobile app.
Apologies. Works like a charm and if everybody does that, there is no game echo/noise from other players coming through the headset.
